In 1982, a group of parents of Celiacs, had initiated meetings, and in 1985 they had created the " Celiac Club ".

In 1994, this club gave origin to ACELBRA-SP, that has for objectives:
INFORM TO CELIAC...
...about the disease and the diet without gluten, through lectures of alimentary orientation.
DIVULGE CELIAC DISEASE...
...through interviews in magazines, periodicals, radio and television, alerting the physicians, hospitals and the population in general.
CONTACT OTHERS ASSOCIATIONS...
participating of congresses and seminares national and International, aiming at the interchange of information.
GET, TOGETHER THE GOVERNMENTAL BODIES...
...the research and the analysis products industrialized ingested or used by Celiac.
REGULATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL SIMBOL "WITHOUT GLUTEN"...
...requesting the use and legalization of international simbol " without gluten " in the label, packings and sealed papal letter of industrialized that contain gluten in its composition or process of manufacture.
CLAIM THE CARRY OUT OF LAW 8543...
...created in December 23, 1992, requesting of manufacturers of nourishing products, that place in the packings of the industrialized products that contain Wheat, Malte, Barley, Rye nd Oats, the expression CONTAIN GLUTEN. However, unhappyly some industries still don't respect it.
REGISTER CARRIERS OF CELIAC...
...adults and children, therefore still don't exist given concerning the incidence of this disease in Brazil, and thus we will have a stronger and operating Association;
STIMULATE THE BRAZILIAN INDUSTRIES...
...to manufacture products "without gluten" for daily use of the celiac. One exemplo is that occurs in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Canada, United States and all Europe.
Among the products "without gluten", somes are very savoury, and consumed for the population in general, that it demonstrates that products "without gluten" aren't restricted only to the carriers of Celiac Disease.
